We braved the torrential rains on Saturday and ventured out to Bachelor’s Quay to take part in a Magical Circus Cruise put on by the Temple Bar Cultural Trust.
The optical trickery of magician Brendan Byrne entertained our little one and the Spirit of the Docklands (our vessel for the afternoon’s voyage) kept out the elements for the 45 minute cruise down the Liffey.
In addition to card tricks and good-hearted shenanigans, among the highlights for us were the unique glimpses of the recently installed Samuel Beckett Bridge designed by Dublin’s favourite, Santiago Calatrava. It took a lot to drawing us out into the deluge, but TBCT (as usual) put on a good show on the River Liffey.
